FOOD JUSTICE - COMMUNITY VOICES

I was glad to join today's Food Justice Panel in Chicago for an important conversation about SNAP, immigrant communities, and how we build a stronger, more equitable Illinois. Food security is about more than putting food on the table. It's about the ability of families to meet their basic needs, the health of our communities, and making sure that people have access to the resources and opportunities they need. I appreciated the opportunity to be part of this discussion alongside State Senator Graciela Guzmán, State Representative Jawaharial Williams, Charles Purman, Molly Dubow, and Eddie Guillen. A special thank you to the Young Democrats of Illinois, Young Democrats of Chicago, and the organizers for bringing these voices together and creating space for this important conversation. These are the issues we need to keep discussing, in our neighborhoods, in Springfield, and in Washington. #foodjustice #youngdemocrats #FordForCongress #IL07 #snapbenefits #chicago
